Building The Next Chapter of Interoperability with Autodesk

Today is an exciting day for our team.

I am pleased to share that Autodesk has entered into a definitive agreement with BIMDeX to acquire select technology assets and intellectual property (IP), and to hire a subset of our talented team.

Over the years, our team has dedicated itself to solving one of our customers’ most persistent challenges: helping design and engineering data move more seamlessly across the many applications they rely on every day. Through that work, we have built interoperability solutions that reduce manual effort, preserve design intent, and enable more connected workflows across architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing.

As CEO, it is incredibly rewarding to see that work recognized in this way. Today’s announcement reflects the innovation, expertise, and commitment of our team, and creates an opportunity for that work to have an even broader impact.

A journey we have been on together

This announcement builds on a relationship we have developed over time.

Over the past several years, we have had the opportunity to collaborate closely with Autodesk through Autodesk Platform Services (APS) and Data Exchange, working together to solve interoperability challenges for shared customers. Those collaborations have shown us how closely we share a common vision: helping customers connect data more seamlessly across products, disciplines, and organizations.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside many talented people at Autodesk who care just as deeply about solving these customer challenges as we do. That shared commitment gives me confidence in what this opportunity could mean for customers in the future.

Our team remains fully committed to supporting your business with the same products, services, and support you have come to expect from us. Your BIMDeX points of contact remain the same, and no action is required from you.

The proposed transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, and we will continue communicating with customers throughout the process. If and when future changes arise, you will hear directly from us in advance.
